Good afternoon, Bella Christiez readers – how is your week going so far? We hope it’s delicious πŸ˜‰

A few weeks ago, we as a #PittsburghBakery, participated in the city’s first ever LGBT Wedding Show. And for those of you who aren’t sure, LGBT stands for Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender. It’s an entire community, in this city, and couldn’t be prouder to support.

It was amazing to set up a table next to our colleagues, Divine Celebrations, Common Plea Catering, Lendable Linens, The Omni William Penn Hotel Downtown & Bedford Springs, and Pittsburgh Strolling Tables (pictured, left)… just to name a few. Placing ourselves at Heinz History Center on June 26th, we did celebrate marriage equality. And of course, we celebrated in the only way we know best – with sweet treats!

Just like everything else we do #custom – we created a custom theme for the event, using the rainbow symbol as inspiration. We made a 7 layer, ROYGBIV wedding cake, with white icing and those beautiful colors inside, with each layer separated by icing! Picture to the right.

We also found these really cool rainbow colored boxes to put our caramel popcorn in, this sweet table turned out quite nice. We created cake pops in each color of the rainbow and tiered them perfectly on display – and added a touch of glitter, too πŸ˜‰

And, as luck would have it – you all know how we’re running a #customcookie theme this week on our social medias? Well, forΒ this LGBT Wedding Show, we made custom rainbow cookies complete with clouds and pots of gold. Rainbow cupcakes, with matching rainbow sprinkles – go without saying.

It truly was a magical day, you could feel the love all around, and we are so excited to begin working more with the LGBT Community here in Pittsburgh. If you or anyone you know, would like us to participate in your upcoming LGBT Wedding, please don’t hesitate to contact us.

Deliciously,
Bella Christiez
